Description:

A Global Customer Enablement Platform Engineer works closely with architecture and other IT areas on selection, design, and implementation of comprehensive technology solutions. This role participates in gathering requirements for design, analysis, testing, documentation, development and implementation of new technologies in Salesforce and tools supporting the CRM domain. They deliver technical documentation including roadmaps, presentations, and cost models and perform engineering in a cloud-based environment enabling CRM solutions and data integration strategies. They act as security and governance advocates and document system and process policies, standards, and procedures as well as perform and assist with Salesforce audits. They conduct regular monitoring of adherence to policies with a focus on user and change management. In addition, this role provides 3rd tier problem escalation support and troubleshooting on platform owned tools for user provisioning and release management.

This role has an immediate focus on environment management and platform configuration and is responsible for executing a global, multi-org strategy. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills are necessary.

Responsibilities:

Working across regional and functional teams to develop standardized solutions and promote innovative IT solutions to meet changing business needs.

Balance governance and ongoing center of excellence activities simultaneously.

Maintain self-motivation and align direction with high level platform goals.

Adhere to security and architecture standards and patterns for designing sustainable solutions.

Provides guidance and acts as point-of-contact for user license management of Salesforce and Salesforce related products.

Provides guidance, documentation, and training on tools used globally for user and application lifecycle management.

Coordinates internal and external audits of Salesforce and related products. Communicates across teams on control documentation and participates in security and process control reviews.

Advise and coordinate software installation, testing, configuration, and patching for Salesforce releases and installed packages.

Configure and support PaaS and SaaS environments that include managing resources and making adjustments in accordance with SOPs and policies.

Work with system monitoring capabilities in a cloud environment including cloud specific products and tools.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other related areas.

4+ years of IT experience.

3+ years of relevant IT experience working with data.

2+ years of Salesforce.com and/or Force.com work experience

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Ability to deal with ambiguity, rapid change, and multiple priorities.

Hands-on role requiring rigorous attention to detail and thorough application of standards.

Self-starter, capable of driving towards goals independently.

Strong analytical skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Demonstrates interaction skills across a wide spectrum of technical contacts and teams.

Experience with application development, source code management, and continuous integration in a cloud environment.
