Description

US Tech Solutions is seeking a “Sr. Marketing Engineer" for a Contract position with a client in Auburn Hills, MI.

Responsibilities:

  • Be prepared and ready to consult and ask questions in marketing campaign kick-off calls.
  • Create Marketing Specification to document campaign criteria / business and agency requirements.
  • Estimate effort required to support marketing campaigns including time for peer and quality reviews and for defect remediation.
  • Review and address comments within Marketing Specification.
  • Participate in campaign approval calls and advice regarding Marketing Specification.
  • Outline approach / high level sequence of steps, tables, etc. required to support campaign for purpose of reviewing with peer for validation and to avoid rework.
  • Receive and verify conquest list.
  • Build code according to Marketing Specification to extract and prepare data for campaign including applying and testing all requested suppressions.
  • For conquest campaigns / files, apply address standardization, match against internal database and remove duplicates, apply and test all requested suppressions.
  • Prepare test seed list and deliver to agency.
  • Provide counts as requested to ensure counts support campaign goal or quota and for budget planning purposes e.g. number of direct mail pieces.
  • Test opt out links to ensure unsubscribe function is working properly prior to production email deployment.
  • Spool file(s) in order to deliver to agency or fulfilment house, review with peer and perform defect remediation as needed.
  • Deliver file(s) to agency or fulfilment house via secure file transfer (SFT).
  • Post campaign manifest files to the unified dealer extranet (UDE) so that dealers can see which customers were included in marketing campaign.
  • Validate proofs prior to production direct mail drop.
  • Create marketing communication contact records (MCCs) to store outbound direct mail communication in customer history.
  • Participate in new vendor set up call to support integration and testing with S2F web service.
  • Create survey in Salesforce Marketing Cloud to facilitate hand raiser data capture at events or on the brand website.
  • Provide survey ID and question and answer value pairs (form field values) to vendor.
  • Verify test transactions come through as expected in SFMC
  • Set up and test mail forms for emails that will be deployed out of Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Turn on and test campaign automation.
  • Map event data to fields within SFMC,
  • Add hand raisers (HRs) from events or brand website to HR stream.
  • Execute SQL/Perl scripts to pull in other sources of marketing activity (MCC, event/conquest, owner) into sales match engine.
  • Campaign set up within sales match engine using input provided by agency.
  • Execute scripts to apply sales match engine logic and attribute sales to marketing activity.
  • Create sales match engine output files and deliver to agency.
  • Support data profiling, data quality rule creation, creating data lineage pathways, and identifying data owners both upstream and downstream.
  • Communicate reported data quality concern / finding and support root cause analysis.
  • Participate in training and complete certification for the Marketing Engineer Level 1 role.
  • Support identification of unique processes, the identification of roles involved, value added steps, supporting roles, process enablers, conditions of acceptance, SLAs or OLAs, estimation of activity timing and duration.
  • Implement process improvement.
  • Support / validate the creation of meta data for each unique process.
  • Support monthly and quarterly business stakeholder meetings as needed.
  • Enter actual hours spent on each marketing campaign in order to provide accurate input to utilization report and ongoing capacity planning.
  • Participate in annual planning meeting with the brands in order to be informed and have a view into the brand’s vision; what’s to come in the year ahead.
  • Art of the Possible: new campaign ideas and concepts.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of working with brand teams, agencies and Marketing Service IT Organizations
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent
  • Strong technical development skills in Oracle 12C, SQL Plus & TOAD
  • Big-data analytics experience using HIVE on Hadoop, Cloudera platform. (power user, not developer)
  • Strong working knowledge with XML
  • Extensive Hands on experience with Salesforce's Marketing Cloud (Journey Builders, Data Extensions, AMP Scripts, Audience Builder etc)
  • Familiarity with CRM and Marketing components such as campaign automation, target groups and profiles
  • Ability to lead, organize, manage, and deliver CRM information content to support marketing campaigns
  • Ability to both plan, code, and test information content for marketing campaign consumption, execution, and post campaign reporting
  • Ability to operate to brand needs and deliver results to time, quality and cost control
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (technical and non-technical)
  • Extremely “Detail-Oriented" individual with the ability to multi-task
  • Capable of performing tasks in dynamic/changing circumstances
  • Strong “customer-focused" individual with a passion for responding to the needs of customers
  • Ability to quickly get up to speed and learn new technologies and concepts
  • Strong analytical skills similar to data scientist

Desired Skills:

  • Master's degree in related field
  • Automotive & Marketing industry experience
  • Salesforce, Exact Target, email campaign execution tool experience a plus
  • Extensive experience cleansing, managing, and validating customer data
  • SAP Business Objects, Tableau, or similar business intelligence software experience a plus
