Description

The Salesforce Lead Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, testing and deploying solutions for our internal clients including but not limited to Sales, Support, Finance, Consulting, Marketing and Engineering, using Apex and Visualforce, and often leveraging HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, Lightening, and other technologies. The Developer must be able to communicate well with internal associates and 3rd party vendors who have varying technical abilities and strong coordination with our existing Salesforce Developer and Administrator. Quality is key, as is an ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into a technical reality that is extendable and maintainable.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Requestor(s) to define scope of development efforts
  • Design, develop, test, document and deploy high quality business solutions on the Force.com platform
  • Use of Salesforce APIs to integrate Salesforce with other Enterprise Wide Application Tools
  • Communicate with internal associates and 3rd party vendors regarding status, technical issues and creative solutions

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years internal and/or enterprise applications experience
  • Experience developing and delivering solutions to real customer problems, preferably with an emphasis on Sales, Support, Finance, Marketing and Engineering issues
  • 2+ years Force.com development experience, with a strong focus on Apex and Visualforce development; experienced in writing Apex test coverage or any other enterprise application tools
  • 3+ years Java or C# development experience, and 3+ years web application development experience, including solid experience with Java or C#, as well as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Solid knowledge of SOQL
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • A confident, self-starter who can blend in with the application delivery team and can also work independently to complete tasks
  • Ability to work with Sales personnel, subordinates, peers and members of senior management, up to and including the executive level to report on all aspects of order management, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times and ability to work extended hours at period end to meet deadlines
  • Work location could be Dublin OH or Overland Park, KS

Experience Preferred:

  • Agile development practices a plus
  • In-depth experience with jQuery and/or ExtJS a plus
  • Certified Force.com Certified Developer
  • Strong track record of getting things done on time and on spec
  • Implementation of the Salesforce1 platform
  • Prior experience working with client portals and/or implementing Salesforce Communities
  • Salesforce Community and Lightening development
  • Financial Force (Professional Service Automation, Consulting tool)
  • Integration experience with JIRA, WorkDay and/or MindTouch

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science)
