ATL311 Social Media Coordinator Job Purpose: The ATL311 Social Media Coordinator will work under the supervision of the ATL311 Communications Specialist. This individual will be responsible for answering citizen inquiries on 8 different social media platforms, processing scooter complaints received via the mobile app and web portal and conducting proactive measures to ensure 311 is sharing important City of Atlanta content. Additionally, this individual will create engaging content for ATL311's social media presence including graphics and videos and will be responsible for keeping ATL311's social media channels updated and brand focused.

ATL311 Social Media Specialist Job Duties:

  • Manages departments social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Nextdoor, Youtube, SeeClickFix, Reddit and Snapchat
  • Engages in social media presence creation on new and emerging social media platforms
  • Creates dynamic written, graphic, and video content
  • Inputs service requests into Oracle Siebel when issues are reported from constituents
  • Actively monitors social media sites for important City of Atlanta information
  • Creates content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence on ATL311 sites, and encourages audience participation
  • Assists ATL311 Communications Specialist with large projects, events, and community engagement
  • Works as part of a team, including other City of Atlanta Departments, to develop large social media campaigns, manage company reputation and increase reach
  • Assist with crisis management, bad reviews, and negative news communications
  • Build meaningful connections and encourage community members through dialogue and messaging
  • Understand social media metrics; able to interpret the results and take action to increase effectiveness of social media campaigns
  • Proposes new ideas and concepts for social media content
  • Works with marketing and social media team members to coordinate ad campaigns with social media strategy
  • Manages social media communications
  • Uses timelines and scheduled content to create a consistent stream of new content for audience interaction while analyzing, managing, and altering schedules where necessary to optimize visits

ATL311 Social Media Coordinator Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Social Media Marketing, communications, or related field preferred
  • Technology Skills, 1+ years' experience in digital marketing and social media, strong familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms, Content Writing, Graphic Design, Campaign Execution, Teamwork, Self-Motivation, Strong Communication Skills, Networking, Idea Presentation, Proofreading, Strong Customer-Service Skills, Enthusiasm, Detail-Oriented and Collaboration
  • Knowledge and experience in Canva and Hootsuite a plus

ATL311 Social Media Coordinator Requirements:

  • Must be able to work 10am-7pm shift and potential on call weekends
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills required
  • 1-year experience as ATL311 CSR I and performance must be in good standing
  • Proficient in Siebel, Accela and enQuesta
