Position Summary :
Gallagher is engaged in a comprehensive refresh and re-implementation of Salesforce, and is seeking a CRM Business Analyst to help drive both this initiative as well as ongoing improvements that drive sales productivity and effectiveness.
The CRM Business Analyst will lead and contribute to technical projects related to Salesforce in an agile development environment, working with business stakeholders, technical staff, and partners to deliver solutions that improve sales productivity and effectiveness through automation, process improvement, user experience, and analytics.
To deliver these solutions, the Analyst will become an expert in Gallagher's business environment, how Salesforce is currently being used, and how it can be continuously improved to align with and support business objectives, strategies, and processes. The Analyst will intake project requests, lead requirements gathering sessions, plan the work to be done, and oversee the project work required to bring solutions to light. The ideal candidate is a diligent, hardworking individual who learns new functions and processes rapidly, works with minimal supervision, and consistently delivers outstanding results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Work with the business to identify opportunities for driving sales productivity and effectiveness through technology, data, and process improvement.
  • Lead technical projects of low to medium complexity, overseeing requirements gathering, research, technical design, solution development, testing, deployment, documentation, and user enablement.
  • Translate business requirements into User Stories, providing acceptance criteria, technical and functional specifications, and other project artifacts, as needed, to engage technical staff and partners in solution development and quality assurance.
  • Effectively communicate strategy, technology roadmaps, options and trade-offs of technical solutions, and project progress and risks to project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the development team to plan and execute the work.
  • Manage, track, and ensure the timely resolution of risks, blockers, issues, and bugs.
  • Review, test, and measure Gallagher CRM solutions to ensure they are providing business value and meet acceptance criteria. Develop test cases and user acceptance testing (UAT) plans. Lead UAT sessions and other software development gating/review sessions.
  • Partner with the CRM Change Management team and project stakeholders to drive awareness and adoption of CRM solutions and processes.
  • Drive operational excellence, stability, and scale by observing strict change control, and best practices for project management, data governance, documentation, and release management.
  • Stay current with new releases of systems owned by the Gallagher CRM team, as well as relevant solutions and best practices in the marketplace, evaluating and implementing new features and solutions, as required.

Required :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
  • 3 years related experience required including project support
  • Understanding of budgeting and financial management processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Desired :

  • 3+ years of increasing responsibility and impact in the areas of business analysis, product management, data analysis, or system administration
  • Salesforce expertise, or translatable experience working with other CRM platforms, including system administration, user setup and maintenance, role hierarchy, profiles & permissions, security, page layouts, objects, fields, workflow, approval processes, formulas, queues, assignment rules, and data management.
  • Experience leading or contributing to projects that involve cross-functional teams in the development of technical solutions
  • Ability to drive results through collaboration, influence, relationship-building, and teamwork
  • Experience with software development methodologies, tools, and best practices (Agile, release management, source code version control, Jira, TFS, Workfront, Visio, etc.)
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Familiarity with relational databases and data modeling
  • Experience loading data and maintaining data quality
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and solve complex problems with focus on simplicity and scalability
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Intellectual curiosity and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred :

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder, Consultant, or Developer
  • Certification in Product Management, Project Management, or Scrum/Agile
  • Advanced analytical skills with relational databases and business intelligence visualization tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
  • Background in insurance, insurance brokerage, or financial services
  • Basic understanding of Salesforce programming languages or their equivalents
