The Role

Moderna is expanding our footprint to further our mission of delivering the greatest possible impact to people through mRNA medicines!

We are looking to hire an experienced Salesforce Architect who has a customer-first product mindset and embodies the Moderna Mindsets with a passion to change the future of medicine. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and configuring our AWS Connect Telephony and Salesforce Health Cloud CRM systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring optimal performance and usability for our contact and field engagement teams to enable our Omnichannel Customer 360 roadmap across the organization.

This role will work closely with Contact Center and Field Engagement Leadership to develop technical solutions to facilitate seamless customer engagement that deliver real-time and accurate information. Collaboration will be required across cross-functional stakeholders in Commercial, Medical Affairs, Research & Development, Supply Chain to enable technology solutions that support premier customer interactions across patients, healthcare professionals, academic institutions, and governments. The Salesforce Architect will also work closely with our new technology hub in Seattle to focus on software product development to support and innovate our Commercial, Data & Machine Learning, Cloud Infrastructure, Security, and Engineering Excellence (dev tools) offerings and platforms.

Heres What Youll Do

  • Drive the design, configuration and optimization of Modernas AWS Connect Telephony and Salesforce Health Cloud (built on Service Cloud) CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into system configurations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Train and support users in using the systems effectively.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the development team.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AWS Connect and Salesforce Health Cloud updates and trends.
  • Ensure system compliance with data security, privacy standards and GxP processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate other systems with the contact center platforms.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide insights for continuous improvement of new features and functionalities.

Heres What Youll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology (IT), or related field or a field tied to the product sector OR 5 years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree
  • 7+ years of relevant technical experience with a minimum of 2 years of Salesforce Architect experience leading Salesforce design, build & deployment activities
  • Experience working in an Agile SDLC with experience creating both functional and technical user stories.
  • Experience with on premise and/or cloud-based Systems Administration

Heres What Youll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

  • AWS and Salesforce Admin Certified
  • Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud or Service Cloud
  • Proven fault identification and analysis skills, critical thinking, ability to troubleshoot technologies.
  • Experience communicating with application users to understand and collect their requirements and requests.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, UX, Program management.
  • Experience in a regulated environment and knowledge of GxP best practices
  • Experience launching technology products and platforms at scale
  • Strong domain knowledge in one of the following areas: eCommerce, Data/Machine Learning Platforms, Cloud Infrastructure (AWS), Engineering product tools
  • Software development experience strongly encouraged.
  • Experience working in life sciences, pharma/biotech, or high-tech industries with a preference for experience in one or more of eCommerce, data/machine learning platforms, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with GxP regulations and validation processes
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization.
  • Proven experience in training and supporting users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
