The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Associate/Journey Salesforce Developer, Information Technology (REMOTE AVAILABLE). This position has flexible work scheduling options available including hybrid and remote anywhere in the United States.
ROLE OF THE POSITION:
The Office of Information Technology will consider candidates for either Associate/Journey Developer based on relevant skills and required experience. You will play a key role within the applications development team, responsible for a highly customized Salesforce instance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with supervision (Associate) or minimal supervision (Journey) on a small development team that designs, develops, tests, and deploys software/web applications
• Build Salesforce applications using Apex and Lightning Component Framework
• Develop Lightning Web Components and work with Salesforce APIs and Web Services (REST, SOAP) integrations
• Apply best practices and design patterns of best-of-breed applications developed on the Salesforce.com platform
• Partner with business representatives to define requirements and develop technical specifications
• Create testing and implementation plans, including user training and documentation
• Remain current with Salesforce technologies and best practices
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
• Associate level: Minimum 1 year experience with Salesforce Ecosystem systems and best practices
• Journey level: Minimum 2+ years experience with Salesforce Ecosystem systems and best practices
• Experience with Apex and Lightning Component Framework
• Experience with Process Automation, Flow and declarative Salesforce customization tools
• Experience working using Agile methodologies
• Strong understanding of relational databases and SOQL/SQL queries
• Working knowledge of modern IDEs (VSCode, IntelliJ) and Source Control tools (Git, SVN)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Salesforce Platform Developer 1 and Salesforce App Builder certifications
• Experience in higher education environment
• Experience with Education Data Architecture (EDA) and Student Success Hub (SSH)
SALARY RANGE:
• Associate: $91,700 to $94,400
• Journey: $99,100 to $105,100
